Almond Cow Nut Milk Processor
"WOW" Is all I can say. I recently had a demo at their pop-up shop in Venice and I was thoroughly impressed.
Here are some takeaway points about why this would make an excellent present.
- It is really easy to make your own milk. Just soak the nuts overnight, add water and turn on the button. That's it. No need to strain the milk. Everything is done for you!
- Making your own milk is a lot cheaper than storebought milk. Homemade would cost you approximately $0.55 per 40oz. While store-bought nut milk will cost around $4.29 per 48oz.
- Home-made nut milk not only tastes better, but it is healthier as well. Many processed varieties contain additives like sugar, salt, flavors, gums, and carrageenan. Some scientists have presented evidence that carrageenan is highly inflammatory and toxic to the digestive tract, and claim that it may be responsible for colitis, IBS, rheumatoid arthritis, and even colon cancer.
- Saves the planet over 500 single-use plastic containers. That is a good enough reason to start making your own plant-based milk!
Nuku Swimwear
Nuku swimwear was started by two high school friends with the same vision of doing their part for the ocean crisis that we face. They created a cute and comfy swimsuit line made from recycled fishing nets.
Definitely a company that we can stand behind.
